“Pu Ruka Lawen” Screened at International Conference on Knowledge / Culture / Ecology
The Proyecto ACCESO documentary film about Mapuche Medicine - “Traditional Knowledge – Mapuche Medicine Meets Modernity” “Pu Ruka Lawen” in the Mapuche language) - was screened at the international conference – Knowledge / Culture / Ecology at Diego Portales University in Santiago de Chile on November 15, 2017.
The film’s director, Proyecto ACCESO’s Sebastián Vives del Solar was in attendance and participating in a question and answer session after the screening.
The documentary film presents the traditional knowledge and ancestral wisdom of the Mapuche people, the largest indigenous group in Chile, and showcases their healing practices and ancient medical techniques.
The project was co-sponsored by UNESCO and the Chilean government (CONADI, the National Commission for Indigenous Issues).
